You would get excited when you hear something like “World’s First”! Here is the world’s first 3D phone, the LG Optimus 3D. It was launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The LG Optimus 3D not only supports playback of 3D videos but is also capable of recording 3D. Just imagine yourself recording a 3D video of a happy moment of your life and posting it directly to youtube right from your handset! LG Optimus supports it all.
The phone comes with two rear camera lenses and it uses the 3D screen technology similar to the Nintendo 3DS. The two camera lenses are capable of recording 3D videos and capturing 3D images. You might wonder if you have to wear 3D glasses to view these images or videos. Obviously not! You can view these images of videos through naked eye, if you do not fear any headaches 😛 Well, most of you would be prone to headaches if you view any 3D videos for more than 5 minutes.
The application launcher uses the 3D feature. This is something which any user would love to use. You can flip through the apps like Photo Gallery or 3D Youtube app by sliding your fingers over the screen using the 3D carousel interface.
It has a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen with two 5-megapixel cameras which are separated at a distance of 24mm.
Full specifications of the phone would be known only when it is released in the market. Talking about the battery, LG says that the impact on the battery would exist only when the second camera is activated to record 3d Videos and when the 3D screen is activated to view those recordings. The impact would not be too high to disappoint the users (as said by LG).
My perception: Let the impact on the battery be high, or whatever might be the disadvantages, I would surely love to possess a 3D smartphone, (if I could :P) since it is the “World’s first something” 😀 What do you folks think?
