It was not long back when ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime’s bootloader was unlocked which would be useful if you wish to flash custom ROMs on your tablet. Eee Pad Transformer Prime is world’s first quad core processor tablet and clocked at 1.4GHz, though you can overclock it and increase the clock cycles per second after you root Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime. After you root it, you can continue with the steps to overclock Eee Pad Transformer Prime.
Readers who do not know what overclocking is, let me tell you that overclocking is just a process to increase the clock cycles per second of the CPU of the device. As you have read above, the Eee Pad Transformer is clocked at 1.4 GHz but using this method, you can increase it to 1.6 GHz and hence make your device perform faster.
Overclocking Eee Pad Transformer is quite easy and can be done in one click. Please note that unlocking the bootloader is not required to overclock but obviously you need to root your device. Overclocking can be done using a simple application called EZOverclock which had been brought to you by XDA member DrWowe, many thanks to him for developing this application which can overclock Eee Pad Transformer to 1.6 GHz.
To overclock it, you just need to download an APK file from the link given below the post and install the overclocking application on your tablet. Here is what the developer says about this application:
Once this application is installed, you can switch speeds as usual using the ASUS statusbar. The speeds become (by default, but there is a configuration menu) as follows:
Power save: 1.0 ghz
Balanced: 1.3 ghz
Performance: 1.6 ghz
Also note, the app does not make any permanent change to anything in your device.
