Research In Motion has announced the new BlackBerry Bold smartphones in two versions- 9900 and 9930. The 9900 is a GSM model and 9930 is a CDMA one. The launch of both these phones will also introduce the BlackBerry 7 OS which will be powered with a 1.2GHz processor and 768MB RAM.
What is new in the BlackBerry 7 OS?
Let me tell you something about this new BlackBerry 7 OS. BlackBerry 7 OS will provide you with a faster browser experience with support for Javascript and HTML5. A new feature called BlackBerry Balance has been introduced which means that you can separate your personal content from official content. This will obviously make it a good business phone just like the Nokia E7. The User Interface will be enhanced and the OS will also offer voice based searches and a better media experience.
Both the phones have QWERTY Keypad with optical trackpad and have a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display with VGA (640×480) pixel resolution. The Camera is a 5 megapixel one at the rear which can record a HD video of 720p.
Discussing its memory in detail it has 8GB On-Board memory and microSD card support upto 32GB. It has the Proximity sensor, Orientation Sensor which is the accelerometer. Another wonderful feature is the built in GPS while the Dual Band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR also enhances the connectivity of the BlackBerry Bold smartphones.
